This year’s rugby season was nothing short of outstanding. The team went undefeated, showing not only skill but also an exceptional level of team spirit. Players consistently turned up to both weekly trainings, demonstrating commitment and dedication to improving their game. Over the season, we celebrated 12 different Players of the Day – a testament to the depth of talent across the squad.
The team played in great spirit throughout, always fair, yet determined to win. Mickey, our captain, led by example both on and off the field, inspiring his teammates with his work ethic and sportsmanship. We also welcomed three new players to rugby, who enjoyed the experience so much they went on to join a club team.
Our performance was impressive: 530 points scored and only 185 conceded – a remarkable effort from both attack and defence. It truly was a great season to remember.
The season concluded with a tense final against Heaton, where we led throughout and secured a thrilling 45–35 victory. A huge thank you goes to all the parents for their incredible support on the sidelines, and behind the scenes – your encouragement made a real difference to the team’s success especially in the final.
