On Wednesday night, our Year 7 and Year 8 math teams headed to Wolfbrook Arena to test their problem-solving skills against the region’s best at the annual Cantamaths Competition. After weeks of hard work and dedicated preparation, both teams represented our school admirably in an intensely fast-paced and exciting environment.
Our Year 7 team—Isaac, Charlie, Banuja, and Bea, supported by reserves Juno and Jimmy—kept their cool under pressure to score a fantastic 45 points. Not to be outdone, our Year 8 team—Aya, Olivia, Nash, and Amos, alongside reserves Polly and Jono—showed outstanding teamwork and focus, racking up an impressive 85 points.
We also had creative talent on display in the Cantamaths Display Competition. Huge congratulations to our two Highly Commended award winners:
