Weather was a big problem for the scheduled Tuesday trip, but thankfully it was good for Friday and only a bit cold in the river. We had a brilliant day building a raft and then rafting down the river, learning about safely crossing a river, and then using our bags to safely go down a river.
The river was cold but not too deep making it the perfect day for river crossing. Another great thing about this spectacular event was all the parent helpers who helped out, even having to get in the cold water too! Floating down the river on our bags was an excellent way to finish the day. Once we warmed up in our dry clothes we all felt very proud of our efforts and all the fun we had.
