Camp was so much fun, and it was such a good experience. From kayaking to high ropes, every second was awesome! We did raft-building, kayaking, coasteering and high ropes! In high ropes, we did the flying kiwi and the centipede and the super big ladder! In coasteering, we jumped off a bunch of rocks and scaled a rock wall, which was super fun. The camp food was so good, and everybody enjoyed it! All in all, Orton Bradley Park camp was so much fun and it was an amazing experience! (Isla R3)

On the 19~21 February 2025 R2 R3 and R5 went on school camp.  We went to Orton Bradley Park. Some activities we did were coasteering, high ropes, bush walking, raft building,  kayaking.  Some bonus activities that we did were haka practise, some fun games and we were there in 27 degree heat for the coasteering on Wednesday! The Rutherford year 8’s really enjoyed camp it might be the best part of our year! (Kelly R3)

On the 19-21 of February, Rutherford classes 2, 3 and 5 went on camp at Orton Bradley campground. We did lots of exciting activities, such as coasteering, kayaking, bush walks and had heaps of free time. The games were also fun, some even played after dark! We all had a wonderful time, and came home exhausted after great days and late nights. We learned all about the native edible plants of the NZ forest on the bush walk and jumped off extremely high rocks in coasteering.  My favourite parts of camp were definitely the soccer game that we organised in our own free time and the high ropes course, with lots of climbing and terrifying heights! A HUGE thank you from all the Rutherford Year 8’s to our amazing camp parents who made our camp so much fun!
