NZ Rugby Sevens Star Visit

Jorja Miller, a rapidly rising NZ Rugby Sevens star, generously gave up half an hour of her time while on a brief break, to visit our school and meet our girls’ Rugby team. Our kapahaka group, Te Ropu Hari Koa, welcomed her to our school before she spent 30 minutes with our female rugby players sharing her experience on all aspects of the game. She encouraged the girls to stay involved in a wide range of sports for as long as they were able. She also told the girls how important it is to focus on all aspects of their lives including their attitudes to school, learning, other people and to putting in their best efforts. Thank you Jorja and all the best for the finals of the Rugby Sevens World Series in Madrid and for the Olympics later this year.
