Hillary Pod had an exciting time during Maths Week, doing hands-on activities that were, you guessed it, maths. One of the highlights was making colourful parabola string art, where we used nails, boards, and bright threads to explore shapes, symmetry, and geometric patterns. We learnt how straight lines can be placed to create an optical illusion that makes it look like a curved line. We also built polyhedrons, learning how different shapes fit together to create amazing 3D structures. A few artworks were selected to go to the Cantamaths display next week. Overall it was an incredible learning experience that everyone jumped right into. by Gen Maze H3
