During Round 1 of Leisure Education, students had the opportunity to take part in Ten Pin Bowling. Every Tuesday afternoon for five weeks, a group of enthusiastic bowlers travelled down to Zone Bowling to test their skills, compete against their classmates, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Students were placed into groups of four to seven and quickly discovered that every bowl counted. The first session was a chance to learn the lanes, improve technique, and find their rhythm. While many scores were still developing, Maia set the standard early by achieving an impressive score and becoming the first member of the group to join the prestigious Hundreds Club.

As the weeks progressed, more and more students improved their accuracy and consistency, with several bowlers joining the Hundreds Club. Congratulations to Henry, Donovan, Daniel, Carter, Jacob, Zac, Alfie, Sarah, Ngan, Jake, Max, Hunter, Jono, Aydin, Maia, Ethan, James, and Christian for reaching this milestone.

The highest score of the five weeks went to James, who finished with an impressive 147. However, the biggest success was seeing everyone improve, encourage each other, and celebrate each other’s achievements.

A memorable highlight came on the final day when two seasoned bowling veterans on the neighbouring lane put on an impressive strike show while our students finished their final games. It was a great way to end the round and left many students inspired by the possibilities of the sport.

Thank you to all the students who brought enthusiasm, perseverance, and great sportsmanship to Ten Pin Bowling. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoy the challenge and continue to improve each week.
