Upcycling- Emma Dunlop H2
For Leisure Education this term I took Upcycling. I found upcycling really enjoyable because I got to turn old and unwanted things into something amazing. We did Decoupagé, a little like paper maché. It involves attaching thin tissue and serviette paper to objects with Modpodge as decoration. We did this on some jars and they looked so cool. Next we made paper maché bowls on some balloons and then decoupaged them. It was rather satisfying to pop the balloons. Although it made a big mess for us to clean up, that was fine, because as I like to say “If you don’t make a mess, you did it wrong.” I found that it really let me express my creativity.
