During the last week of Term 3, our two Volleyball teams competed at Koru Games. They achieved amazing results during pool play with the girls team playing 4 games and winning each of those and the boys team playing 5 games and winning 4. I was really impressed with the sportsmanship shown throughout the tournament by all students. This was the first time that we have entered Volleyball teams into this tournament and, for many of the players, it was their first time playing. I was really impressed with their achievements as well as they way they supported and nurtured each other, and how they persevered to achieve their absolute best during every game. Even though the girls team won each of their games in pool play, they played for 6th and 7th place in the final, but unfortunately lost. They gained a very impressive 7th place out of 28 teams. The boys team played for 3rd and 4th placings
in the finals and after two very close sets, unfortunately lost that game and ended with another very impressive ranking of 4th out of 15 teams.
