Over three action-packed days, our school teams took part in the Koru Games 3v3 basketball tournament, competing for bronze, silver, and gold medals. Both our boys’ and girls’ teams showcased incredible determination, teamwork, and skill throughout the event.
The boys’ team had an outstanding run in pool play, winning all 10 of their games and securing a strong position heading into the finals bracket. The knockout rounds proved challenging, but the boys showed perseverance and grit, ultimately earning a well-deserved bronze medal. Their hard work and positive team spirit were a highlight of the tournament.
The girls’ team also went unbeaten in pool play, sweeping all 10 of their games and advancing confidently into the finals. Their final match against Horomaka School was intense and pushed the team to their limits. Despite the challenge, the girls held their own and came away with an impressive silver medal, showing true courage and sportsmanship.
Both teams represented our school with pride and gave their all on the court. The Koru Games were a fantastic opportunity to build teamwork, resilience, and competitive spirit—and our students rose to the occasion. Congratulations to all players for an outstanding effort!
