This year’s Kids’ Lit Quiz saw two teams from Christchurch South Karamata competing against 39 Year 7 and 8 teams from across Canterbury for the honour of being crowned Kids’ Lit champions.
The competition challenged each team to answer 100 questions across ten categories, covering books, characters, and all things literary. This year’s categories included Abbreviations, Anatomy, Bears, Mythological Characters, Comic Characters, and Sport, among others. In addition to overall placings, teams also had the opportunity to win individual category prizes.
As always, the quiz proved both demanding and exciting. After the first five rounds, Team 1 was in a strong position, setting up a tense and competitive second half. With all teams striving for success, the atmosphere remained electric right through to the final questions.
A huge congratulations goes to Team 1 — Maia, Zoe, Alexander, and Carter — for their outstanding achievement in securing 3rd place. Well done also to Team 2 for a very credible and commendable performance.
