Rutherford Year 7s have been buzzing with excitement and showing our values during our EOTC trips to River Crossing and Quail Island. These days are opportunities for our students to connect and embrace new challenges.

For River Crossing, students learnt new key skills about raft building and how to cross a river safely. Everyone was impressed that all our Rutherford 7s students got involved and took the risks. It was a great day out and a lot of happy faces floating down the river.

We also had the opportunity to go to Quail Island for a walk. Mr Harrison (Science Specialist Teacher) led the charge giving great historical facts about the island and about its nature. We had a lot of activities during the day like swimming on the beach and trail runs up the hills.

Rutherford 7s did go on the Sailing trip but cancelled due to high winds. We are planning to have this on the Friday 14th March.

A huge thank you to all our whānau who came and supported these day trips. We appreciate your taking time away from work and supporting this. Without you, there would be no trip.
