What a fantastic way to celebrate the approaching end of the year! Last Friday, December 12th, our outdoor lunchtime concert brought a beautiful mix of music and festive cheer to our grounds, even as the summer sun turned up the heat!
Rising Stars Shine Bright ✨
The heart of the concert was the brilliant performance by our up-and-coming musicians from the Training Band and Orchestra. Under the expert guidance of their dedicated leader, Lana Law, these young performers showcased the incredible progress they’ve made this year. It was inspiring to see their focus and passion as they delivered a polished and engaging set. The talent on display clearly proves that the future of our music program is in excellent hands!
A Dash of Christmas Cheer 🎄
Adding a wonderful festive flavour to the event, a section of our choir took the stage to share some beautiful Christmas cheer. Their voices filled the air with the sound of the holidays, offering a refreshing and joyful moment that had everyone tapping their feet and humming along. It was the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit!
Improvised Magic: The Drum Circle 🥁
Kicking things off and setting a vibrant, rhythmic tone was our incredible Drum Circle group. Despite the scorcher of a day, these talented improvisers brought an infectious energy to the stage. Their spontaneous, rhythmic magic was the perfect warm-up, instantly lifting spirits and encouraging the gathering crowd to move and groove to the beat. Their performance was a powerful reminder of the joy and connection that live improvisation can bring!
A huge thank you to Lana Law and all the students in the Training Band, Orchestra, Choir, and Drum Circle for sharing their gifts with us. It was a truly memorable midday treat!
