On Friday, August 30th, the student Social Awareness Leadership Team organised a non-uniform day fundraiser to help raise money for the New Zealand Cancer Society.
We were impressed with how much students got behind this cause, dressing in yellow, entering the colouring competition, and through donations. As a school we raised $722.90! This money will go directly to the Canterbury Branch of the Cancer Society, supporting those in our area impacted by cancer.
The winner of the coloring competition was Macy in S2. You will see her entry in the collage of photos from the day. The message behind her entry was very powerful and very clearly demonstrates the kaupapa of Daffodil Day. Well done Macy!
On behalf of the Social Awareness Leadership Team, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Daffodil Day at Christchurch South Karamata Intermediate.
