I’m incredibly proud of the ChCh South Volleyball Team who were victorious in gaining 3rd place in the competition held over two days at Hornby High School. We played four games on Monday and won three of these. We ended up in second place in our pool – a fantastic achievement. Day two saw us play Hornby High School students from the other pool, and unfortunately, they won all three sets. Our final game for third and fourth placing showed how much the players wanted the win with many long (and tense) rallies where they showcased their newly-learnt skills. ChCh South won two sets to one. The staff and students of Hornby High School were incredibly supportive and accommodating and we thank them sincerely for running the competition. G. Johns
