The annual Ski Trip to Porters Alpine Resort once again proved to be a resounding success. The event attracted a substantial cohort of 88 students from Christchurch South, many of whom were novice skiers. The trip offered a valuable opportunity to acquire professional instruction from certified instructors and eventually explore the slopes independently, potentially discovering a lifelong passion.
We were fortunate with ideal weather conditions, allowing students to fully immerse themselves in the skiing experience. Beginners quickly adapted to the gentle slopes, while many advanced to intermediate terrain with impressive ease. After several hours of exhilarating practice, the South students were gliding effortlessly through the snow.
We were thoroughly impressed by the rapid progress made by our students and hope that this experience has ignited a newfound passion for skiing that will continue throughout their teenage years.
