CSKI took four teams to the Term 1 Mixx Korfball Tournament at the Hagley Netball Courts on Monday 7 April. Weather conditions were ideal – warm and sunny with only a hint of wind – and our teams represented CSKI with pride and integrity. With the majority of the squad new to korfball, the tournament was a fantastic introduction to the sport.
CSKI 1 and 2 competed valiantly in A Grade, going up against more experienced and much larger teams. CSKI 1 finished 4th overall, while CSKI 2 placed 8th.
CSKI 3 and 4 both started strongly in B Grade. CSKI 3 persevered but were knocked out in the quarter-finals. CSKI 4, our youngest and most inexperienced team, were unbeatable during round-robin play and narrowly lost in the semi-final.
