Christchurch South Intermediate recently participated in World Vision’s annual 40 Hour Challenge. This initiative encourages young people to step out of their comfort zones for 40 hours, giving up something they rely on or completing a personal challenge, all while raising vital funds for those in need around the world. This year, our students were supporting communities living in the Solomon Islands.

We are incredibly proud to announce the outstanding success of our students. 75 students from South signed up for the challenge this year, and their collective efforts resulted in an astounding total of $14,856 raised! This is a truly phenomenal achievement!

Our students embraced a diverse range of challenges, including giving up technology for 40 hours, spending 40 hours with no furniture, and being outside for 40 hours.

Every single participant demonstrated the ‘South Way’ by showing Koha and support for others.

Congratulations to all our students and a huge thank you to everyone who supported them in making such a profound impact!
