Strum, Strike, Blow! Young Musicians Rock the Wolfbrook Arena!
Wednesday night was absolutely buzzing with energy as 18 of our awesome students took the stage for the annual Strum Strike Blow Festival at the Wolfbrook Arena. The air was electric with the sounds of music as these talented kids—12 on the ukulele and 6 on the marimba—showcased their incredible skills and passion.
The Strum Strike Blow Festival is always a blast, bringing together young musicians from all over canterbury for an evening of performance and good vibes. Our students have been working super hard, and it totally showed!
First up, our ukulele crew got everyone smiling with their cheerful strumming and bright, happy melodies. Their performance was a perfect example of teamwork, and you could tell they were having a great time.
Then, the marimba players blew us all away! They hit every note with amazing precision, creating these rich, rhythmic sounds that completely captivated the crowd. Their intricate pieces were seriously impressive and a true highlight of the night.
When both groups came together is pieces like Sakura and Star Wars, the crowd was in awe. We are also proud that we got the play with the famous New Zealand group, One Drop Nation.
It was so cool to see these young people come together, sharing their love for music and just having a good time. Events like this are so important for encouraging a passion for music and giving our students a chance to shine.

A huge shout-out to all 18 of our musicians! Your hard work, talent, and enthusiasm were on full display, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. We can’t wait to see what you do next!
