On Tuesday 19th we held our Speech Finals during our assemblies. The topic was ‘What I Value’ and the audience was treated to thought-provoking speeches on poaching, racism, and equality, accepting and loving ourselves for all we are including our imperfections and for our individuality.

Zoe took first place in the Year 7 competition with an entertaining and informative speech about using her imagination and her imaginary unicorn!

Sienna won the Year 8 competition with a thought-provoking speech about privilege and about how those who have privilege have an opportunity and a responsibility to use this to support others who do not have as many opportunities. The standard of speeches was extremely high and each one gave the audience something to think about. Our judge, Polly Hutchinson was very impressed with each student and mentioned how difficult it was to choose a winner for each year group. Congratulations to each finalist for making their final and representing their Pod with pride.
