We are sad to announce that we are going to have to cancel our Matariki star identification morning tomorrow due to high clouds and potential rain. This was not an easy decision to make for us.

We do encourage all whānau over the long weekend to go out in the early morning to find Matariki. Here is a link to some helpful advice to help you find some spots to look at Matariki in the early morning.https://shorturl.at/iR7nJ

We also have other events on our Matariki Challenge workspace which are around Ōtautahi. Here is the public link to the workspace: https://bit.ly/3RwbhJc

Wishing you a safe and restful Matariki long weekend.

Lockdown

Mon May 13 03:40pm

Kia ora

I am getting in touch to let you know we had an incident at school this morning that required a short lockdown.

Regrettably, one of our students became highly dysregulated. As a precautionary measure and to ensure the safety of all students, we promptly initiated a short lockdown. The situation was addressed quickly, and the student involved is being supported by their family. The school will continue to liaise with the family to help access any additional support they may need.

During this time, I am pleased to share that our students remained calm as they followed their teachers’ instructions. Children in close proximity to the incident were well supported during and after the incident.

Police were onsite and we wanted to let you know in case it is raised at home.

As always, the safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority, and we are committed to providing a secure learning environment for all.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
