Values Badges (Flying High)

At Christchurch South Karamata Intermediate School we focus on ‘The South Way’. This means we ‘Aim High @ CSKI’. This incorporates our school values of:

• Support 
• Koha
• Integrity

We model to the students how to show these values through our Expected Behaviour Matrix (EBM.) We give out Flying High cards to students demonstrating these expected behaviours in class and around the school at breaks times. Once a student achieves 50 ‘Flying Highs’ they receive their Bronze Values Badge in assembly. Once a student achieves 110 ‘Flying Highs’ they receive their Silver Values Badge, 180 earns Gold, 260 earns Pounamu and the supreme “South Way” badge is achieved once 360 ‘Flying Highs’ are gained. We believe it is achievable for all students at South that demonstrate the expected behaviours to get at least the first 4 values badges across the two years.
