Sunday the 23rd of April 25 members of our Kapa Haka group Te Rōpū Harikoa performed on the live TV show What Now. It sure was an early morning rise for both Students and Staff but the payoff at the end was positive and worthwhile.

The students got a tour of the set and got to meet the entire What Now team before being on live TV. A group of very lucky students also got the opportunity to speak live with a host and also play Matau-Maui. We really appreciate Levi and Lucy for embracing the challenge and being brave to speak and represent our Kura.

The game was a lot of fun to watch and it sure had an appealing reward for the students. The winner had the choice to choose a Teacher to get gunged in the gunge tank. At the end of the day, it was the Brave Mr Barr who got picked unanimously by the students.

After everyone left, everyone was happy and had a really good time. The performance was awesome and the students all represented CSKI positively. A huge thank you to Guy Williams for his guitar skills and Peytyn Holland for her support with the uniforms. We also do need to acknowledge Matua Steve Reid for his work and commitment to preparing the group. Without him, this group would not be possible.

Here are two videos that What Now has posted on their Youtube channel:
