Our term 3 korfball tournament was held on Monday the 19th of September at Hagley Park netball grounds, starting with a brisk morning, but quickly turning into a lovely spring afternoon.
Christchurch South entered 4 teams on the day, with outstanding achievements coming from everyone and lots of smiles in the mix. All 4 teams have improved massively over the last three terms and have developed teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills over the few months we have been training together as a Korfball squad.
Also a massive shoutout to Miss Te Rangi, (coach) and Mr. Solofuti (assistant coach) for organizing us to be in the tournaments and using their own valuable time to coach us. We couldn’t have achieved all these things without their help and support.
All teams were undefeated in pool play, and the C & D teams faced off in the playoffs for 7th and 8th.The A & B teams played off in the grand final with the A team coming out on top and taking the trophy home for the umpteenth time.
