Despite the cold and rainy weather this past Monday, we are thrilled to share the success of our kura’s participation in the end-of-term Mixx Korfball tournament. We had four CSKI teams competing, and it was fantastic to see our whānau supporting the teams, managing substitutions, and lending a helping hand when needed. Our ākonga were extremely grateful for the support.
Overall, it was a remarkable day for all four teams. Our D team narrowly missed securing a spot in the top 16, while our B team made it to the quarterfinals before bowing out. This left our A and C teams to battle it out in the final, resulting in an exciting all Christchurch South Karamata showdown. The match was closely contested, but our A team emerged as the winners, clinching victory by just one goal.
We want to extend a mahi pai, to everyone who demonstrated the South Way throughout the day. Your dedication and sportsmanship were truly commendable. Additionally, a big fa’afetai lava goes out to the whānau who assisted with transportation and ensured high morale throughout the tournament. Your support was invaluable. Malo lava 😄
