Canterbury Semi Finals
Congratulations to both CSKI Epro8 teams who won their way through the Canterbury semi finals and are now in the Canterbury final on the 15th of August. This is an amazing achievement as this is a highly competitive event with only 30 points separating 1st place (330pts) from 4th (300pts). Thank you to the parents and caregivers of the students for their support of this event.
Finals
Christchurch South Karamata Intermediate had two teams in the Epro8 Engineering Grand Final after winning their way through the heats and semi-final.
The event was held at Holmes Solutions Engineering, which is located in Hornby. They are world leading engineering experts with clients from around the world, ranging from Nasa, US State Departmnt, AJ Hackett, Martin Jetpack and Fletcher Building to name a few.
After a tour of the facilities, no photos allowed to protect intellectual property etc the competition began.
Once again the competition was amazingly tight with very few points separating the top 6 teams. With points being updated on the scoreboard, team standings changing, it made for a very exciting finish. Our teams came 5th equal which was an incredible achievement.
