The CAIMS basketball tournament was held over 2 days at Pioneer Indoor stadium during week 5 of term 3 with the South Lakers & South Eagles taking part. The South Lakers team had a couple tough games on the first day of tournament that had them just outside the Top 4 when pool games finished. They were able to show commitment and support for each other to rally and finish 5th. The South Eagles team qualified first in their pool and were able to make the final where they faced a well drilled Horomaka team going down by 12. Ka pai tō mahi to both teams for a great 2 days! Special thanks to Devon Watson for a wonderful job coaching the South Lakers this year and to Anna Weston for coming down to support and help out where needed.
