Three CSKI Rockbands entered into the Bandquest competition this year: The Monday Mashers, The Monday Mashers and The Tuesday Tribe AKA Maeve, Charlotte and The Toe Rags. Rock bands from all over Canterbury descended on the Aurora Centre and shared their awesome music. Our bands warmed up with an invitation only concert in the school hall on the day of their performances. On the night they all performed with such confidence and served the audience up very polished performances, with plenty of groove. Although the real winners on the day were the audience who got to listen to such awesome performances, we also came away with some prizes. The Monday Moochers got ‘Third Place’, The Mondays Mashers got the ‘Best Vocalists Award’, and Es scooped the ‘Best Original Song’ and ‘Rock Star Styles’ awards. Special mention to Matty Stevenson, for all his mahi getting the bands performing at their best.
