Christchurch South Karamata Intermediate School is decile 8 middle years school specialising in the education of students in Years 7 and 8. We are located between the suburbs of Addington and Cashmere and our catchment is bounded by the Port Hills, the Heathcote River and the city. Currently we have a roll of approximately 530 with 24 teaching staff. Our main contributing schools are Addington, Somerfield, Thorrington, West Spreydon and Hoon Hay. After their 2 years with us most of our graduating students attend Cashmere High School although past students can be found at all of Christchurch’s secondary schools.
