On Tuesday December 4th, a large contingent of CSIS students went to Hagley Park to participate in the Summer Tournament. The mercury would top 25 degrees throughout the day and the balmy Northerly winds made for gruelling conditions. Many sports were represented there; cricket, touch rugby and softball were the major team sports.
Our Girl's cricket team hit the field with brand new equipment courtesy of of a grant from the the local fibre broadband company Enable Networks. They performed extremely well, never dropping a game, and won the round robin tournament outright.
The boys cricket team came 4th in their tournament, winning 3 out of 6 games. They were assisted by Ms Ormandy. The touch football teams did not gain a placing this time around but played their games in great spirit and were led by Mrs Te Rangi-Henare. The softball team finished in 3rd place overall. They had a great day and were coached by Mr Angus.
