Recently as a kura we have been exploring the Maramataka Māori (Māori lunar Calendar) with monthly challenges and activities. Paengawhāwhā (April) is a time for harvesting and being thankful for the kai we have in preparation for the Winter months. As a kura we demonstrated our gratitude by providing goods to those who could be struggling to feed their whānau and pets.
We collected for a week and a huge mihi to our ākonga, whānau, and hāpori for your contributions! The City Mission and SPCA are incredibly grateful for your donations. Thank you to the Māori Leadership group for bringing the mountain of cans over to the school office for the City Mission van. Tēnei te mihi ki a koutou!
Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi!
