Our dedicated Pop Up Penguin team has been working extremely hard this term to design and paint our penguin sculpture, named Ross Scott. This penguin will be installed in town this summer as part of the Wild in Art sculpture trail.

Daisy's description of our final sculpture: The final design is inspired by Ōtautahi being one of 5 gateways to Antarctica. Our hoiho penguin is wearing a unique garment, a blend of an Antarctic explorer's vest and a kakapo cloak. This prestigious garment is symbolic of our responsibility to be kaitiaki of our penguins and our environment.

We are excited to publicly unveil Ross Scott in term 4.
