Kahukura Junior Orchestra Performance

Congratulations to Kahukura Junior Orchestra who gave a fantastic performance at Thorrington Primary School's Boot Market on Sunday 24th November.

KJO performed all five pieces they've been working on during 2019: Musette, Gangster Prankster, The Bare Necessities, Christmas Medley and The Muppet Show Theme Tune. By playing all five songs, it was easy to hear the progress the ensemble have made throughout the year. The majority of students have only been learning their instrument for 10 months, and took the brave step of joining the ensemble with only a few notes under their belt. Well done indeed - you are all STARS!

To the students of KJO and future instrumentalists: make sure that you sign up for an intermediate musical ensemble in 2020, because - as you've seen - playing in a group teaches you great musicianship skills and - best of all - is really social and fun!

To Georgina Rees-Stevenson, Ally Palmer, Kahukura Music Leads and the parents of KJO students: huge thanks for all your incredible support this year. It has been greatly appreciated by Kate Revell and the students of KJO :)
