Today we had our annual Haka Off Challenge. It is  a competition between the pods to see who can perform the school  haka, "Te Kura o te Tonga", with the most te ihi, te wehi, te wana (charm, inspiration, and awesome power!) And the champions were... Sheppard Pod!

Well done to all of the leaders from each pod who showed a great level of pride for themselves, their pod and their school. They all did a stunning job! Thank you to the students who supported the school in singing the welcoming waiata at the beginning of the event by leading, to Matua Steve, our kapa haka tutor, for judging the competition and to our whānau and community for coming along to support their tamariki on the day. Well done to all students involved. It was a very close competition.
