The annual Christchurch Inter-Intermediate School Speech Competition was held at Casebrook Intermediate School on November 2nd. Christchurch South sent two competitors to compete under the speech topic 'If we could change one thing...' Speech topics ranged from three day weekends, bacteria, fairness and equality to anatidaephobia - a fear of ducks! Our two contestants:, Archie with his speech on Homelessness and Bille with her speech on Negative Body Image represented South with strong, clear and passionate deliveries. Billie in particular impressed the judges and was awarded first place. She was described as a standout! Congratulations Billie and Archie you did a fantastic job representing yourselves and South.
