Recently our community policeman, Constable Ross, spent 3 hours with a great team of our Year 7 students, training them for road patrol duties. They all passed the rigorous standards set by the police. They will start their duties this term, under the guidance of the current Year 8 students, and then they will be ready for next year’s duties. This is a very big responsibility and we are always impressed at the willingness of our young people to step up into leadership roles. On each duty they are supported by a staff member, whose role is one of a watching brief. The road patrollers are responsible for managing the safety of our students. We plan to train another team in term one of next year so that the students have only 2 terms on duty. This opportunity will be advertised next year.
Our new Road Patrol Team
