Last week South hosted the annual Keep Christchurch Beautiful Awards where representatives from 39 schools were acknowledged for the wonderful and consistent work they do in maintaining their environments. The awards were presented by city councillors. At South we felt it important to celebrate the outstanding work of our caretaker, Frank, by giving him his certificate in assembly where we could all congratulate him. We are so fortunate to have someone of his calibre looking after our grounds to such a high standard. We know that Frank is supported in his work by the many students who have such a responsible attitude about the general state of our environment and take such pride in South.
